High School Valentine Deliveries!
All deliveries must be made to the High School Safe Room.
Also, please keep in mind that many of our students (upper classmen) are not on campus an entire day - they either attend KTC, have work study or an abbreviated schedule. If a delivery is made later than 11:15, there is a good chance those students will not receive their deliveries until tomorrow.
Happy Valentine's Day from Valliant High School!

FCCLA Regional STAR event competition was held yesterday at the Pontotoc County Fairgrounds. Valliant had 4 entries, and all 4 entries medaled.
Lily Smith, an 8th grader, received 1st in Repurpose and Redesign for her project that used non-recycable materials, candy wrappers and drink pouches, to create a dress. She will continue her journey at State in March.
Kylie Dickenson, an 8th grader, received 1st in Focus on Children. She taught 6th graders how to recognize depression in themselves and others and coping mechanisms for stress. She will also continue her journey at State.
Mackalynn Dansby, a junior, received 2nd in Teach or Train. She taught 1st graders about body positivity and the effect of words. Her score was high enough to move her on to State also.

There will be no in-person classes tomorrow. All grades will revert to distance learning. We have had crews working diligently all weekend to attempt to get our gas back on. At this time that is still not complete. We hope to have this issue resolved tomorrow and welcome our students back on Wednesday to a warm classroom.
HIGH SCHOOL ONLY!
Valliant High School will have a virtual day on Friday, January 12, 2024 due to an outside gas leak. The gas has been turned off, so there will be no heat to the building while repairs are being made. Middle School and Elementary will still have school as regularly scheduled. There is no danger to students.
Reminder that Monday, January 15th is a holiday for Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.
Please check email and social media for updates regarding any possible weather closures for Tuesday and the remainder of next week.
