
PRE-K Enrollment for the 25-26 school year opens on February 24, 2025.
A link will be posted on our website and social media pages on Monday Feb. 24, 2025. Please share with anyone you know that might be interested.
Pre-K applications submitted with all required documents will be accepted until all spots are filled. Enrollment is limited and all applications will be placed on a first come first served basis.
Students must be at least four years of age on or before September 1, 2025. The parent or legal guardian must be a resident of the Valliant Public School District. Valliant Public Schools pre-kindergarten program is a voluntary, space available program. Children are encouraged to be potty-trained before entering VPS Pre-K. Students should be able to clean themselves and change clothes, if necessary, after using the toilet.
REQUIRED DOCUMENTS YOU WILL NEED TO ENROLL:
Must be uploaded at the time that the online enrollment application is completed. Failure to upload all required documents could result in your child not being placed.
❑ Certified, State issued birth certificate - We will not accept the hospital one with foot prints.
❑ Choose one proof of residency from the list below. Proof of Residence must be in the parent/guardian name.
Gas, water or electric bill dated within the last 30 days. It must be the top portion of the bill showing the customer name and service address. We will not accept the remittance/mailing portion.
Builder contract (closing date must be within 90 days)
Lease/rental contract can be used if all utilities are included in the lease. We need the first page showing the name, address and lease terms and the signature page signed by the parent and the landlord.
❑ Current Immunization Record or you will need to use email proof that you have filed and received approval for an exemption with the Oklahoma State Department of Health.
(Immunizations or exemption approval must be completed before the child is allowed to enter school.)

3 doses Hep B
2 doses Hep A
1 dose Varicella (chicken pox) or history of disease


Bulldog fans and guest,
We need your help in making sure all Valliant Public School athletic events are safe and secure. With that goal in mind, we will be adding additional safety protocols effective immediately.
All spectators must use the front main entrance.
Entrance procedures will include the use of walkthrough / handheld metal detectors. (allow ample time for security checks)
No elementary or middle school student(s) should be dropped off and left unattended.
All spectators are expected to be in their seats during the athletic event with the exception of trips to concessions or restrooms.
Law enforcement and VPS staff will be on site to address any potential disruptions that occur.
There will be no re-entry to the game after exiting the stadium / school building.
No outside food or drinks allowed.
Prohibited items include, but are not limited to
Weapons (including pocket knives), vapes, tobacco products, lighters, etc.
The Valliant Public School District reserves the right to deny entry to any athletic event for any person who fails to comply with these procedures.
Fans are encouraged not to bring any type of bags inside the stadium and gymnasiums for athletic events. Bags and purses are subject to being searched.

Parents and Athletes,
The timeline for powerlifting meets are unpredictable. Please be prepared for a long, drawn out day. Ice chests aren’t allowed, but feel free to bring snacks and drinks for yourself in your bag. There will be a full concession stand available for the athletes and they will need money for food and drinks throughout the day. Athletes are required to wear black shorts and we will provide them a t-shirt to compete in. Also, athletes will be allowed to ride home with parents at the conclusion of the meet and those that ride the bus home will contact parents when we leave Tishomingo and when we get close to Valliant. Please contact the coaches with any questions.

The Tishomingo Powerlifting Meet is proceeding as originally scheduled. All MS and JH lifters, boys and girls, need to report to the weight room at 6:00 am on Thursday, February, 20th. Lifting will start at 9:00 am

School will be in session on Thursday Feb 20th. Buses could be slightly later than normal. It is going to be extremely cold so please make sure your students have their coats. Remember - the cafeteria opens at 7:30 and the classroom buildings at 7:45.

MENU CHANGE -
Thursday we will have eggs, and yogurt parfaits for breakfast
lunch on main line will be beef soup, cheese sticks, etc.. pizza line will be subs, chips, fruit..
Monday will also be a change for lunch . We will have chili dogs on the main line and hamburgers on other line

Students and Parents,
All sites will be distance learning for tomorrow Wednesday 2/19/2025. This decision was made based on the large number of staff that is already out due to illness combined with those that have a long commute from the areas that are expected to be impacted by the winter weather. We apologize for the late notice and hope you all stay warm!
