Valliant Students are eclipse ready! A special thanks to Dr. Peter Bako from The Eye Guys in Idabel for taking the time to speak to our students about eclipse safety. We would also like to thank the McCurtain County Health Department for providing safety information as well as a pair of viewing glasses. This allowed each student to have two pair of glasses thanks to a donor who wished to remain anonymous. Enjoy this once in a lifetime event.
So proud of our middle school students and their accomplishments. Mr. John McKinney is a State Powerlifting Champion as a 6th grader, we had nine (9) students place at the McCurtain County Curriculum Contest, we have continued our success with one (1) absence or less for the month of February, and we had six (6) chosen as students of the month by our teachers. #BulldogStrong #MiddleSchoolRocks

All 3 of Valliant Elementary's robotics teams went to state competition last Saturday and 2 of the teams, Madd Engineers and Genesis made it to the final rounds! Great job to all 3 teams!
The Valliant Girls Powerlifting team dominated this season with Personal Records being crushed everywhere. It has been a blessing getting to coach these girls in the fundamentals of lifting with expectations of getting better everyday.
Kylie Corely, Valliant sophomore continued to rack in hardware this season demonstrating the sweat she has put in since last year. With Squat and Deadlifts over 300 lbs, she placed 1st in the southern region in the 165 pound weight class with a total of 770 lbs! Placing in regionals has qualified Kylie as a STATE contender this year.
Kylie, who is a great student and multi-sport athlete, participates in the HS Girl's State powerlifting meet tomorrow in Durant. Come out and support Kylie at Durant's Choctaw Nation Event Center, first lift will start at 9:00 a.m.
