Parents, Patrons, and Friends, We have faced many challenges this year with the Covid-19 Pandemic. Another challenge faces us with Valentine's Day approaching. As you know, we have limited many activities this year that would require visitors coming to school. This year due to Covid concerns and due to the fact that Valentine’s Day falls on a Sunday, we are asking that you not send Valentine gifts to school. This is a difficult decision and we know that this may cause some inconvenience, we hope that you understand our position in trying to keep your children safe. Further, we encourage you to support your local businesses and have items delivered to your home. Craig Wall, Supt.

Basketball Fans, The OSSAA Playoffs are just around the corner. Today the OSSAA released Guidelines for Basketball for the 2021 Playoffs. I have attached a copy of those Guidelines. Please take a look at them. Masks will be required for every person in attendance including cheerleaders. Just start being familiar and be prepared.

Valliant Parents and Students, There will be NO Grab and Go Meals on Thursday, Jan. 28.

Parents, Students, and Patrons, We were notified this afternoon that a member of our Cafeteria staff has tested positive for the Covid-19 virus. Unfortunately, due to contact tracing, this case has exposed all of our other members of Cafeteria staff. As a result, we will be unable to have in-person school tomorrow, Thursday, January 28. Thursday, will become a Virtual Day. We are making plans to return to school on Monday, February 1.

On Tuesday afternoon, we were notified that two additional staff members at Valliant Elementary had tested positive for Covid-19. No additional quarantines were required as a result of these cases.

Tonight, the Valliant Lady Dogs and Valliant Bulldogs travel to Howe to take on the Howe Lions. We have been very busy in the Gym this week and are excited to announce that very soon the Valliant Bulldogs will be streaming all of our remaining home games on the NFHS Network. If you are unable to attend games or just enjoy basketball and want to watch, you can subscribe to the NFHS Network and watch games all over the US. Or if you just want to watch your Bulldogs play, the NFHS Network is the new streaming home of the Valliant Bulldogs.

The Valliant vs. Rattan varsity basketball game at Rattan has been moved from Feb. 6 to Monday, Feb. 1st.

On Friday, January 22, we were notified that a staff member at Valliant Middle School had tested positive for Covid-19. While that staff member does have direct contact with students, that contact is somewhat limited. This case however will result in quarantines of both students and staff at the MS and HS. All those in contact with the case have been notified. Craig Wall

Parents and Patrons, On Friday, we received two notifications of students that had tested positive for Covid-19 at Valliant Elementary resulting in further quarantines of students and staff. This morning, Jan 21, we were notified that a student at Valliant Elementary had tested positive for the Covid-19 virus. As a result, numerous students would be subject to quarantine. Please help us by wearing a mask, washing your hands, maintaining social distance and avoiding gatherings of people no matter how small. Valliant Basketball Fans, Tonight is Homecoming! Homecoming starts at 5:15. Attendance is free and open to the first 300 fans. You do not need a ticket (authorization) to get in to Homecoming. As soon as Homecoming is over, we will be clearing the Gym. We will open the doors for Basketball at 6:00 pm. YOU MUST HAVE A PREPRINTED AUTHORIZATION (TICKET) TO GET IN FOR THE GAMES! Attendance is limited by Gov. Stitt's Executive Order to 4 fans per participant. Authorization tickets were distributed to the players and cheerleaders for distribution to their family and friends. OSSAA passes will be accepted. No other pass will be accepted. There are no extra authorization tickets for home games. Please share.

Hey Valliant Students and Parents, Don't forget Friday, January 8, is a Virtual Friday! Grab and go meals will be available at the regular sites from 8:30 to 10:00.

The Valliant Lady Bulldogs and Bulldogs will be playing in the Tushka Tournament this weekend. Tushka has allotted 150 tickets to Vallliant for the Tournament. We will be distributing 3 tickets per player on Wednesday. Remaining tickets will be available on a first-come first-served basis (limited to 2 per person) at the Valliant Superintendent Office beginning Wednesday, Jan 6, at 10:00 am. Tickets must be in possession to enter the Gym facility at Tushka. Each ticket is good for the all games in the tournament. You will pay admission fees at Tushka.
