A message from Mrs. Ensley to Valliant High FCCLA students.
Parents and Patrons, the Valliant Public Schools will be closed on Tuesday, April 10 in support of the Walkout for Educational Funding. I know this creates many hardships for you as parents and for our students. However, we believe that it is important and necessary for the long term benefit of our students, our school, and our state. It is our hope that this situation will be resolved quickly and that we can get back to school as soon as possible. Our current plan would be to return to school on Wednesday.
Parents and Patrons, as you know, schools across our state have been closed as a Walkout for Educational Funding has spread statewide. Although we have sent delegations from our school this week and have tried to continue to have school, it has been difficult. On Monday, April 9, we will be joining many schools and our colleagues in the Walkout. Valliant Public Schools will be closed on Monday, April 9th in support of increased educational funding for our students and classrooms. I am sorry for any inconvenience this may cause, but feel it is the right decision to make at this time. I encourage you to support us in our efforts and support education in Valliant and Oklahoma. We plan to return to school on Tuesday.
The Valliant Public Schools will be in session on Monday, April 2. Thank you for your support of Valliant Schools and education in Oklahoma.
